Lucille's creative practice centers on painting, where she explores emotion through color, lines, movement, and form. Initially drawn to the contrasts of charcoal and acrylics, she continues to experiment with new media to enrich her artistic expression. She has also begun to venture into sculpture, viewing it as a natural extension of her creative growth.
Beyond her visual art, Lucille integrates creativity into her professional work as a Registered Psychologist and Registered Psychometrician. She uses artistic expression as a therapeutic and educational tool, encouraging individuals to draw, paint, and write as ways of understanding emotions and fostering healing.
Dr. Evangelista earned her Doctor of Philosophy in Psychology from the University of Santo Tomas, España, Manila in 2008. Art as Therapy
Creativity as a Pathway to Healing
In her practice of psychology, art becomes a tool to enhance clients' expression of thoughts and feelings — a pathway to healing and self-discovery.
