The Full Story

Artist, Healer,
Teacher

Lucille's creative practice centers on painting, where she explores emotion through color, lines, movement, and form. Initially drawn to the contrasts of charcoal and acrylics, she continues to experiment with new media to enrich her artistic expression. She has also begun to venture into sculpture, viewing it as a natural extension of her creative growth.

Beyond her visual art, Lucille integrates creativity into her professional work as a Registered Psychologist and Registered Psychometrician. She uses artistic expression as a therapeutic and educational tool, encouraging individuals to draw, paint, and write as ways of understanding emotions and fostering healing.

Dr. Evangelista earned her Doctor of Philosophy in Psychology from the University of Santo Tomas, España, Manila in 2008. She has taught Art Appreciation, Humanities, and major courses in Psychology at the university level, inspiring students to view creativity as a vital dimension of education, culture, and emotional expression.

Through her participation in arts and cultural exchange programs, she aims to share the richness of Filipino creativity while learning from diverse artistic traditions. Her works, whether through painting, teaching, or psychological practice, celebrates the power of art as a universal language of empathy, connection, and hope.

Art as Therapy

Creativity as a Pathway  to Healing

In her practice of psychology, art becomes a tool to enhance clients' expression of thoughts and feelings — a pathway to healing and self-discovery. Her dedication to merging art and psychology has led to registered industrial designs that embody her vision of how art, science, and innovation can work together.

“In my practice, art becomes a tool to enhance expression of thoughts and feelings.”
